A 360 Video Gives Young Women a Glimpse at a Boundless Future

When it comes time for young women to choose a subject to study, a large percentage choose to opt out of subjects focusing on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). But these are the areas of study that lead to the most innovative and potentially high-paying jobs.

EDF Energy took notice of this trend and decided to do something about it: they launched the Pretty Curious initiative to help show women how fulfilling a STEM career can truly be. And we were asked to make this exciting movement immersive—so young women can get a taste of what it’s like to walk in the shoes of a real success story.

As the viewer dives into the the 360 experience, she immediately understands that each day for these inspiring women is interesting and challenging. She meets Roma, a structural engineer who helped design London’s tallest building, Claire C. who works on an offshore wind farm and Claire M., coder and co-founder of the crowdfunding website Mode for Me.

The experience is beautifully shot and gives a glimpse of what the future could hold. The hope is that young women everywhere watch, and turn their hopes and dreams into a reality.
